Hotel Accommodations
The Kingsgate Marriott group rate has gotten filled to capacity, so there are no more rooms available. Reasonably-priced rooms are available at the Hampton Inn which is directly across the street from Kingsgate - their number is 513-281-2700. We have a block of 10 rooms held at the Hampton until March 13, 2012 for $109.00 per room. Their web page address is: http://hamptoninn.hilton.com/en/hp/groups/personalized/C/CVGUPHX-MKS-20120321/index.jhtml?WT.mc_id=POG. Those of you who have requested roommates or other special housing arrangements will be contacted in the coming week with confirmation of the plans and locations.
Travel
If you are driving, you can find directions to the Kingsgate Marriott Conference Center here. If you are flying, transportation from the CVG Airport can be reserved through Executive Transportation for $20 one-way or $30 round trip. You may call (800-990-8841) 24 hours in advance to guarantee a reservation; walk-up service is also available in the baggage claim areas. Taxi service is approximately $27.
Less expensive flights can often be found flying into Dayton (45 miles), Columbus (85 miles), Louisville (89 miles) or Lexington, KY (90 miles). While car rental will likely be necessary for transportation from these airports to Cincinnati, we will do our best to organize shared rides based on attendees' arrival and departure times. We will certainly be making runs to the Dayton airports and are happy to coordinate transportation for people flying into and out of that airport. Contact us (historicalkeyboard2012@gmail.com) for further arrangements.
Executive Transportation has offered us a group rate for van shuttle service from the Cincinnati Airport to CCM or Kingsgate Marriott - $20 one-way/$30 round-trip. Just say you're with the Historical Keyboard Society and they'll apply the discount. Their desk is in the baggage and ground transportation area at the airport.
On-campus Transit and Alternative Lodging
The Kingsgate van shuttle will run 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. M-F and is available to be scheduled for $5 a ride at night and on the weekends. We encourage those of you with cars to drive to CCM for the evening and weekend events (see note about parking passes below) and to offer rides to as many car-less participants as possible. A list of those who've offered rides will be made available at registration. We ask you to take responsibility for getting around as much as possible. A bus to the Friday night reception at the Lloyd House, and back to CCM and Kingsgate, will be provided.
For those of you who will have cars, we have the option of ordering "In/Out" Parking passes for the CCM garage. They cost $7 per day and will allow you to come and go as you please throughout each day rather than paying repeatedly (up to $10 for 3+ hours). You CAN park overnight at the CCM-area garages (CCM, Varsity Village, and Calhoun) as long as you are in a spot there before late-night closing. Anyone who wishes to purchase such passes must notify Vivian Montgomery at montgovn@uc.edu by March 12, specifying which days you'd like it for. Your order will be recorded as part of your registration and you can pay for it when you pick up your registration materials. Please only request a pass if you know you're going to be using it.

Easy Eating Options at the University of Cincinnati
Daily coffee and refreshments will be available in the CCM lobby throughout the meeting & festival. In addition, CCM houses a Starbucks and is next door to the Tangeman University Center, which contains a multitude of eateries and shops, including a counter vendor of soups, salads, & sandwiches, a more formal dining hall, Subway, Japanese food, pizza, and other options. The Conservatory is also a 5-minute walk from the active Clifton commercial district, with many restaurants, shops, banks, and public transportation. Kingsgate Marriott has two restaurants and a bar for your use during your stay.
